Performance Management - Management Skills That Get Results
Eight Hours in One Day or Two Day Formats
Technical
excellence often means promotion into supervisory and management
positions. But while technical training is key to superior performance,
once an individual is promoted they often are not provided with
adequate management skill training.
Developing
these skills is often left to experiential learning. This day long
seminar is a chance for seasoned managers to improve on what they
know and for new managers to get a head start. This session covers:
- How
to keep people motivated
- How
to delegate a task so that it doesn't "fall off the face of the
earth"
- How
to distinguish between rewards and recognition
- How
to diagnose performance problems
- How
to build sustained commitment, even when the manager is away
This session is
practical and immediately useful on the job. Participants have the
opportunity to debrief and discuss workplace challenges. Lots of learning,
lots of fun. This course is meant to teach and to motivate the motivators!
