MANAGE
ENERGY SESSION - MORNING
Participants
will create an action plan for renewing and sustaining their energy.
They will understand the biological implications of stress and
learn how to go beyond willpower and time management to get things
done. They will also connect the dots between their core values,
their interest in career achievement as well as other challenges,
and their exhaustion or exasperation with demands at work and
at home. Most important, participants will leave with fresh enthusiasm
for the possibilities of 1) changing unproductive habits, 2) sustaining
optimal performance in the workplace, and 3) feeling better about
life in general.
Through discussion and activities participants will:
- Understand
the foundation concepts of effective energy management and their
relationships to maximum productivity, achievement, coping skills,
and renewed enthusiasm in the workplace and at home.
- Understand
that the positive impact of workplace and lifestyle change must
be founded in a core of well managed physical, emotional, and
mental energy.
- Develop
a simple, effective plan for introducing energy management into
working life.
- Experience
renewed encouragement and excitement about applying these concepts
in daily life.
GET
ORGANIZED SESSION - AFTERNOON
Participants
will understand how their current workflow management methods
actually drain energy and focus.
They will develop strategies for restructuring work flow in ways
that maximize time and energy. They will identify specific action
items which will make substantial differences in how they juggle
work, responsibilities, and the energy management practices identified
in the morning session.
Critical to the successful implementation of these processes,
participants will also learn how manage stress and pressure in
ways that build energy reserves. They will leave the seminar with
more than a clearly outlined path from chaos to order; they’ll
also know how to sustain the enthusiasm and motivation to implement
it. They'll create a practical, personalized, workflow and work
volume management plan to help them become more efficient and
less exhausted.
Through
discussion and activities participants will:
- Understand
why cutting edge workflow strategies must accompany energy management
practices in order for both to work.
- Learn
alternatives to "keeping it all in your head" and
the resulting stress it creates.
- Understand
the current organizational strategies and where they fail.
- Get
serious about applying energy/work balance practices.
- Become
excited by the practical application of concepts such as gathering,
organizing, acting, reviewing and several other tactics to streamline
workflow and make room for recovery.
